Content: T'was the night before redemption and all through my soul Not a demon was sleeping The silence was cold They taunted my mind with whispers that's old They used the same lines on others I'm told I walked through my house then sat in the chair In hopes that Redemption would soon fill the air As my children lay peaceful I asked God to bless their heads With knowlegde of His will So their lives... they would not dread And mama in her chair with confusion in her mind Praying for an escape of the life that's behind Before I could finish my prayer He did say "The things that your going through... I'll deliver you this day." The road may get rougher And my soul will be haunted By invisible enemies... trying to distraught it The change will take a moment But I'll confront the demons this day Now Depression! Now Envy! Now Jealousy and Lust! On hatred! On Backbitting! On worry and being a slug! From the rage in my heart! To the bewilderment in my soul NOW DASH AWAY! DASH AWAY! DASH AWAY ALL!
