Odor of Racism
Posted On 10/07/08 @ 12:04 AM by MsPoeticg_2

It has a musty stinch
permeating the air like
fog
diffusing its odor as it passed

I held my breath...
wondering
will it ever dissapate?

I knew there had to be something
to rid  this repugnant odor

I researched deep, I found answers

Like courage
and determination, patience
and endurance, most of all
prayer

although resistant
it finally moved on...

on to another place and time.

I cleared the air slightly
with the solutions of old

Although the odor is subtle
it still lingers on...

...it still lingers on

Keep faith alive!

Indeed even the evil behind the hatred of man cant stand a chance in a praying nation united under a loving God! I enjoyed this sis Peace and Blessings!

Your words are truth but thank God (as Michael Jackson said) it doesn't matter if you're black or white. We are ALL his children.

This is a powerful and thought provoking piece. Racism stinks! It is still and probably always will be a disgusting order permeating this world. I like the way you worded this piece, Great job!

Thanks!  I was up until midnight(couldn't sleep, most often the case)started thinking how far we have come, but yet some things continue to linger. Prejudice  against another, for whatever reason,
is unacceptible to me.
