I am forced to move back memory lane
To when we use to sit by that fire side
Preparing food to eat and sleep
How you pampered me so much
Today when i think about your
Tender love and show of kindness
Tears begin to run down those
Cheeks that you hated to see
Being wet with tears for whatever
Reason grand mum i keep missing
Your soft words that were so consoling
I feel so heavy hearted for i had failed
Giving you that great grand son to hold
Well that great grand son is surely going
To come and be assured he shall be showed
Where we use to sit and prepare food
We for sure shall plant flowers on your grave
Planting them with a heavy heart though
For missing you shall be for eternity
Telling your great grand children stories
Teaching them about the family tree
Your name shall always be mentioned
How i had i wished to have you carry
Upon your laps my kids and show
Them the same affection we shared
Giving both of us a lot of joy
