STAND UP TALL

**~Stand Up Tall~**

ROSA PARKS, MOTHER OF THE
CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT

In sitting down.
She stood up tall.
~~~~~
A little woman.
Who spoke for all.
~~~~~
In sitting down.
She broke the chains.
~~~~~
Of Ignorance, Prejudice,
Fear and Pain.
~~~~~
In sitting down.
God gave her grace.
~~~~~
To Stand Up Tall.
And count her race.
Rosa Parks, the black seamstress who
Helped launch the
Civil rights movement by refusing to
Give up her seat on a bus,
Was inducted into the Alabama Woman
Hall of Fame last year...
She changed the state, the nation
And the world 52 years ago today...DEC 1st.
So fantastically woven like a yarn woven by a skilled African woman weaving like she does best. I say once more thanks and congratulation for your works and for keeping with history. Your recount of this epic historic woman of faith Rosa Parks makes me see her in every African woman, so strong willed and stubborn with a cause.
