This Day
I never thought
This day would come.
Whrn I feel more alive.
And I could say I survived.
I got the strength to get out of bed.
And looked out my window.
The sun was shining on my face.
As I grinned,
Relinquishing the darkness,
That had spread through my room.
I watched the trees and the birds,
the people walking by,
the children playing,
and I knew I wasn't an outsider anymore.
I never thought this day would come.
When I could open my eyes.
See clearly what is in front of me,
The beginning of my new life.
