I just knew you were the one for me
Every word you spoke just did something to me
You were too much like a dream come true
No wrong you could ever do
closer and closer we soon became
2 be a one woman's man is what you claim
I always felt you had a chick on the side
It was cool as long as i was the main one
But when certain things came up
you tried to hide
You told me you loved me and would never leave
How could you?
when you had a chick on the side
You wrote me letter that made it hard for me to breathe
But they were lies
If that chick was on your side
You brought me things and took me places
but they didn't matter
Cuz you had a chick on the side
You said you was a real man but all men say that in there cases
When a chick is on the side
I tried to stick by you and do right
But blinded by love I loss sight
Still you had a chick on the side
I was warned many times
but I insisted you would be mines
I had to take you from the chick on the side
People told me of you playing me
but I just denied
I thought it was in my head you
w/ that chick on the side
I recently dicovered that chick is reality
You gave her and take her places you didn't take me
Now your all hers
she can have you
But now that I'm gone the chick don't want you

Yes us men can be dogs... Oddly enough still some women will gladly be the chick on the side... I for one could never play second fiddle to anyone, but hey times are changing for the worse... On the real, you painted reality for alot of US...

I can't imagine knowing there is a chick on the side and continuing to keep the creep around. I'm selfish. I will not share a man, but I guess a lot of women do knowingly.  There just ain't enough love for that mess.

This poerm is so true, we as women have to stop settling for less, we are all Queens and until we realize our true potential we will settle to be " That Chick on the side". mern know when they have our hearts and some of them are just DOGS!! Excellent poem, keep em coming!!

You hit it dead on, that is reality for a lot of us if you except it. I think if more woman would say no to that situation then men wouldnt try it. We have to accept the responsibility as women to know our worth. We are worthy of having our own man and being loved the way we deserve! I really felt this one on a personal level. Thanks!
