there use to be a show called the urban peasant ;a cooking show.the cook on the show was pretty unique,he would always say''use what you got'',to make a long story short;i'd been cooking for a few people that lived in my building ,''we[they] would all pool our monies together'';and it 'd be up to me to come up with a potluck menu.some days there would be 5$ in the pot,some days alot more.[cheque day..u know..lol],some days 2 people,some days 15-20 plus.everybody ate and thus my name was created as a compliment .now i cook for a living at three resturants,it all started from cooking in the hood for my peeps,first time telling that .it also worked out good for me,i never brought any food.[lol]
