The son beloved
Our journey through life
is governed by two forces
Love and Sacrifice
Love of self as neighbor
Love of neighbor as self
the salutary purpose of sacrifice
is to oppress love in the fining pot
on the potter's wheel mould love
examine it; scrutinize it; observe it
immerse itself into love
till love gives way to all
then will love hath made its' masterpiece
Love absent Sacrifice is meaningless
Sacrifice abiding alone is irrelevant
Sacrifice teaches Love to give
Love ennobles Sacrifice selfless
to prove the one without the other
is the hallmark of fools
Abraham God obeyed he instant
withholding not that he loved most
Moses preferred the wilderness
to Egypt oppressor of Joseph
Jephthah broke not his promise
and submitted his daughter beloved
a burnt offering to God
the widow cast in her mite
emptying into love
all she possesed
Samson gave that he cherished most
his life for his eyes and his people
Jesus the ultimate gift ensampled
nailed to cavalry's monument
And God Almighty ignored temporary
His son beloved's wail 'Eli Eli'
Ought not ye to do the same
it is certain as sun doth rise east
setting in glorious dusk west
the willful separation of man
from that he cherisheth most
will avail him of that he desireth great
look to your possessions
go into your chamber
bring forth your treasures
that which ye treasure most
that which ye love greatest
that with which parting remains painful
Time Talent Love Wealth Gold
Peace Attention Sympathy Kindness Wisdom
of such impart to those in need
and remain in hopeful confidence
that God will open up the windows of heaven
and pour ye out blessings overwhelming
That is the Law
God works by Laws
For God is the Law
And God is Law
