Paul's Viper: the astonishment of faith
From the burning sticks
emerged a viper most venomous
which fastened unto his hand
and fanged him unstuck
then the book says
mark you 'tis the book I quote
not anything invented
by the imagination of man
the book it is that writes written
'he shook off the beast into the fire
and felt no harm'
so amazing his reaction
so bizarre his behavior
it warrants repitition

the day of the evil man was nigh
surely death would make its' appearance presently
consternation morphed into amazement
as time dutifuly unfurled
and the famous author of epistles
remained constant in health
unbowed unfelled horizontal erect vibrant

Those who seek paradigms
Those who seek formulae
Those who seek ensample
Those who seek a way
need look far no more
Paul sets the way clear
when life's waves buffet incessant
and threaten to overwhelm you
when fear abominable torments you
and seeks to dash hope to pieces
do as he did to the beast most venomous
shake it off
go your way
and ye shall witness the astonishment of Faith
