Life's journey
Posted On 03/27/10 @ 11:30 AM

Life is a turbulent journey with a lot of casualties
At times we often don't love the trials and shocks
Yet we never chosed   to be part of the trouble

We have to saddle in this journey we have embarked
Ah some begin to sigh with heavy faces full of frawning

Lines that tell tales of frustrations and bitterness

Nevertheless we must keep on trodding onward
As soldiers must do though burning with fatigue
For we don't have a second life to experience this

Tough and challenging life journey we all must embark
Once the human race must trod this surface call earth
Humanity must endure with patience and endurance

All the tribulations that this journey of ours brings
It rings with truth and bitter truth for that matter
That we can't escape it nor turn down the journey of fate.

An eulogy for my fallen daddy, Ndim Barnabas Nkwain
Posted On 03/27/10 @ 11:08 AM
Daddy you are gone like the roof of a house blown by a tornado.
For sure we knew that someday we shall be separated by this
Monster we fondly call death, but the shock waves are too heavy
That we have been blown off our rails and it Will take time for them

To be repaired and made functional as before , it is usually so easy
To destroy than ever repairing the damage suffered after any disaster
Daddy you were a bulldozer in real life and pushed your way through
All the challenges and seemingly insurmountable trials that could have

Reduced you into a pauper at worse, when you bounced back after
An ugly accident that saw your academic dream shattered at the foot
Of the Mbingo hill on your way to Bamenda on foot to sell your School eggs
Accompanying your Headmaster , there at the foot of the Mbingo.

Your daddy being so stiff necked refused to accept your continuation
In pursuing your academic dream which got shattered for ever
You took upon yourself the strong desire backed by a very strong prowess
To work like an Ass to make your own and make it big

Yes you made it big and reaped from your sweat
Everything you wanted in life you succeeded in having
You gave us your children the best of education and in
The best of Schools because you never wanted us to use

Our brawn's but our brains and you made us to value hard work
We salute your wonderful generosity in granting assistance to
All that came your way and to all those you could grant
The solution to their troubles at their times of need

Dreams can become reality
Posted On 08/13/09 @ 11:44 AM
Dreams can be transformed and made real
Felt and concrete provided we work so
Hard like people with a future at steak
Dreams are real actions gotten in the sub

Conscious aimed at oiling the wheels of the
Future geared at succeeding where failure
Has often been so overwhelmingly present
Dreams are the handle of opportunities that

Are placed on our hands often made feeble
By challenges and difficulties that have plagued
Life making life draped by tears and sweat
The struggles of life are often the flood gates

Of opportunities and pleasantries that come
When most have sighed away thinking all is lost
Never despise your dreams and never allow people
To kill your dreams no matter the hurdles

keep the faith and keep the flames alive
Your future is yours to nurture or to maim
Killing it all is left on your trembling hands
For the choice is always entirely yours

Moody moments
Posted On 07/28/09 @ 12:19 PM
Moody moments make gloomy people Whose frowns are as large as gullies Made agape by the pregnant rains that fall Their fears and worries have made them gloomy Being moody is so bad a thing to nurse no matter The situation or condition keep the cool Keep the smile so that the smile can shine aglow Glowing like the bright morning sun rising to shine Enough of this stupid attitude developed by humanity Refusing to learn how to atone to nature tapping its Plenty of energy when ours is consumed and sapped Away offers us a way out and a life jacket when we All seem to be drowning in our ocean of misery Nature stirs at us in the face so rudely summoning us To obey with quick understanding and faster actions So that we can beat to naught the fears and worries That we often have nurtured in our hearts Rejecting gloom for bloom will make a lot Of difference in our entire world and very few People will go for hypertensive therapy ever So our lives are in our hands so please do care to Afford to remember that you hold the keys to your health That opens the flood gate to a healthy life situation Paving a way out for happiness that comes from within Ndim Bernard Nguoche Poet and writer Done today 28th of July 2009 © Copyrighted

where do we stand?
Posted On 07/28/09 @ 12:04 PM

Where do we stand at this very crucial hour

When a lot lives live lives to be desired and much stress

People being strangulated daily by the hardship

They are bound to shoulder alone as if they owe

The world and should be hung on gallows for

Being poor in a world that adores wealthy people

Even if these billionaires are high profile thieves

Whose hands drip human blood that got slaughtered

In order to maintain a stay in power so as to continue to

Slaying the wealth of the nations they govern

Making themselves rich while their citizens go lacking

Wallowing in deep misery and dreaming of that great day

Of liberation they seek daily so that their penury is forgotten

Dragged to the ground because their wealth is now destined

To their off springs so that the kind of gloomy life they experienced

Shall never be bequated to their sons and daughters

Meaning their long time suffering had been paid in gold

Wow what they missed shall forever be enjoyed by their offspring

This is the moment for men and women with a conscience to

Should stand up together so that these thieves shall have no

Hiding place to hide their heads when they are haunted

Down for wanton crimes committed against humanity

Making their nations poorer than when they took over

As leaders now turned hit men and full of ego

Ah egocentric tendencies have never been a good product

Let's hold them captive so that they shall be

Nailed to the cross of shame now and forever

Prostitution my sister is shit
Posted On 07/23/09 @ 10:49 AM

My black sisters is this the only job that pays

So much dollar bills and make you hectic?

Come to think of the dangers that lie ahead of

All the risk you dare to take just to sell yourself

For rubbles and be made into pulp by people

Most often who could have been your employees

Provided you had stayed in college to graduate

As Chief Judges,Six star Generals and what have you?

My black girl whose color is ebony black turn around

Watch your backyard and say to self I am pretty, romantic

Hot potatoes on the hands of men; yet will not sleep with men

I shall sharpen my wits and become another great woman

Of substance so that other women can look up to me

You are more than an article on sale for men to come

And take up so that they can quench their libido wherever

Necessary and wherever the need arise for they have the guts

Stop being naïve and become that woman who can shun money

Even if it means shunning it to live in abject misery please honey do it

I know that your future shines like the bright morning star

Announcing another chapter in your entire life

Please dear sister.,look pass your past and embrace the sweetness

That could have been forfeited if you became a prostitute

Be that ambassador for the womenfolk so that others shall

Recollect themselves by using you as their barometers for success

Men let's use our God  given potentials correctly by granting Scholarships

To our black sisters without any strings attached so that they can achieve dreams

Of their lives which so many harbor , but lack a push which you and I can offer

The bomb blast whose fault is it?
Posted On 07/23/09 @ 10:24 AM

Does Science admit that it has failed?

Yes Science has failed to adjust the world

It instead has made worse situations that could

Be resolved in a friendly manner to be taken in

A hush hush manner killing peace and coexistence

Today aggrieved persons result to violence

Taking lives along to their graves so early

The amount of blood shed is quadrupling

The answers lie in the making of the bomb

Bombs blast daily taking their toll and you know

What those whose works they are say we are great

The works of our hands have turned out to be what

We conceived them to be and so let's pop champaign

It is time for celebration and time we halla for success

Yes Bin Ladin and his monsters who took delight

In shattering the twin towers of Washington DC on 911

Showcased the power of the bomb if it were bombed

Lives have been battered and shattered by bombs

Ask Iranians what bombs have done to them since the

Invasion in 2000 and the Bushes war on terror ?

Their gloomy faces will be enough to send hot tears run down

Your cheeks and make you a pacific fighter for no war campaign

The earth my brother has had enough of our blood soaking it

so it is high time we stand together to make peace our priority

Is this my son...?
Posted On 07/23/09 @ 10:06 AM

Is this you my son....?

Is this your face my son after all the years

That saw me searching for my lost son?

Searching for a son whose whereabout was

A mystery to be unraveled and then he came

Like a thunderbolt after a lightening flash

Unannounced he came walking on a cane

Supporting self as if he can't walk without one

The father-son paternity is so strong like a bond

That cannot be broken not even after being hurt to the core

Yes the bloom came and he lived the life of a king

Now nemesis has come headlong crashing with him

Bringing along the gloom hehehe he never for once thought

Could be his during his hey days when young medians called

Him darling and sweet heart because of his tick purse

Drunken by this sweet flattery foolishly assuming that

It was love agogo whereas it was sweet nothings that came

To flash through his narrow minded mind so empty...

Our world seems to be getting freezy
Posted On 07/23/09 @ 03:34 AM

Our wold that is getting so cold almost on a daily
Basis worries my irked mind bugged by shock
Stupified by the strangeness of mankind to its kindred

I have often bemoaned the pain i catch in people's faces
Thined by fear and fatigue drowning their worries
In cold bottles of beer that they hope will give them a
Loop and take away their frustrations leaving them much

Better though this is merely an illusion that never had worked
Those who drink only waste energy and kill themselves silently
There is nothing in the bottle except frustration and death
Smilling like a harlot only prepared to devour its victim

We can do so much better if we can sow seeds of friendship
That goes beyond getting returns from our gestures
A meaningful relationship that can build and foster
Genuine love which shall make hearts and minds to

Mingle and prepare for the cementing of hearts and minds
Rebuilding a fragmented, shattered and battered world
Providing a home for a better nursery for our kids
So that they can become more stabble and more independent

Huh did i say Independent, interdependence so that our cold
World can become unfreezed and made warm by the smiles
That shine forth from us radiating those once cold cheeks

You and i can unfreeze our world and make it hotter
Much brighter and more inviting provided we sow love
Agape a missing factor that we seem to be longing anew
