We Sing Through Poetry -Who?-
Posted On: 03/13/08 @ 12:19 PM
my mind is my voice
my pen my song
paper my audience
my crowd
they sleep
so I scream
to awaken them to the song I sing
I sing
I sing and they rise and pay attention
with listening ears
to breathe and come alive
yelling and angry
weary and crying
laughing and merry
whispering and shy
joining in on the song I sing
I sing
humming along tunes
the crowd catches on
they sing
we sing
I sing my song
the mind is the voice
the pen the song
paper the audience that comes to hear me
to feel what I feel
to dream what I dream
not judging whats seen
not fearing whats believed
but knowing
and understanding what ties us all together
the harmony in the song called poetry
in the melody that we sing

I hear ya sista, as all poets can relate... We indeed sing our songs through poetry, and thats a beautiful thing... In summary, keep the ink flowing...
