TIGHT ROPE
Posted On: 04/17/08 @ 09:36 PM
Thin like the seconds between falling over and being saved toes reach for the underbelly of our tight rope for balance as the winds blow twice in the direction of disagreements and countless times in the direction of peace like serenity as I remember once when the wind swayed left and understanding walked out with respect dancing on tight ropesWeak like the feelings in the air left behind after…after our tight rope broke…and we fell off…If only we would have walked slower listened closer moved in sync and not against each other we would be like we were before the fall we could run across tight ropes with out caution without hesitance and not resist the motions in which the ropes sway under our weight because it would be OUR weight and for the right moment we would wait…to walk across any tight rope, together.

THIS POEM IS SO TRUE ASIAM,GONE WITH THE WIND ALWAYS FIGHTING AGAINST WHAT GOD TELLS US TO DO.NOT PATIENT, DISOBEDIENT THEN REGRET. AHA! SOUNDS LIKE ME SOMETIMES. I KNOW I WANT GOD TO WALK WITH ME ON THIS TIGHT ROPE OF LIFE. I KNOW HE WILL KEEP US FROM FALLING INTO GREATER SIN.  LOVE  IT , MARILYN

we all walk tight-ropes everyday. Tight-ropes of disagreements, arguments, disputes etc.

It is a balancing act, this existence of ours. But we can strike the right balance by walking slower (as you suggest) and by co-operating.

Great piece.

Im in love with metaphores thats right till death do us part step by step and inch by inch with each nsync anything is possible, especially heaven! And i agree PS the potential mate must be more then just a lust-filled addiction , the foundation has to be set on some thing solid like the spirit as abstract as it may seem.

I like this. It's real metaphorical. Thanks for the support. I'm doing good, handling business. I think that it takes extraordinary people to walk that tightrope together. The two have to be constantly in sync with each other in order to make it to the other side, which is heaven...Till DeathDo Us Part, right!

Like the way u compared a tight rope, to being in a relationship per say... Sometimes we take that leap without first laying down a foundation... LUST can sometimes backfire, and make one blinded in reality... What I'm saying all need to truly get to know thy potential mate before walking along within thy tight rope...
